Pre-Surgical Care

Your pet will be screened prior to surgery, including bloodwork, to ensure that they are healthy enough to undergo surgery. Pre-surgical bloodwork screens for any pre-existing conditions that may impact the surgery. We also use these test results to develop a pain management plan that is tailored for your pet.

What to Expect During Surgery

All pets undergoing surgery will have their blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood oxygen levels monitored by a veterinary technician to keep them safe and comfortable during the entire process. On the day of surgery, our staff will also ensure that we have the most up-to-date contact information when you drop off your pet, and we will keep you informed about their condition and progress.

Post-Surgical Care

Your pet’s care and comfort is our top priority. We utilize various pain management techniques to aid in your pet’s recovery. The post-operative pain management plan will include pain medication to reduce discomfort and encourage a speedy recovery. This plan will include at-home pain medication to keep your pet as comfortable as possible. A veterinary technician will provide you with instructions on how to manage your pet’s post-operative care.

We are more than happy to provide you with more information and answer your questions. Call us today at (309) 830-6454 to learn more about our surgical procedures and protocols.
