Ultrasound Services

Our in-clinic Ultrasound can help diagnose injury or illness associated with soft tissues and internal organs. Sedation is not needed for most ultrasound examinations (unless biopsies are being taken). Ultrasound is totally painless and most pets will lie comfortably while the ultrasound is being performed. Occasionally, if your pet is very frightened or super wiggly, a sedative may be necessary.

If your pet requires a more specialized Ultrasound exam, we partner with U/S to You. Your pet can be seen and examined by the mobile ultrasound specialist during an appointment at SmartVet so you do not have to travel to a referral hospital.
