Welcome Dr. Erin Adkins!

We have another doctor available to provide care for your pets!

Erin Adkins earned her veterinary degree at the University of California Davis in 2009. She went on to complete a 1 year internship at the prestigious VCA San Francisco Veterinary Specialists, and since that time has practiced in emergency/specialty hospitals and general practices in northern California and Australia. Along the way, Dr. Adkins developed special interests in internal medicine, ultrasound, and emergency medicine. Although she has enjoyed her travels, she is now very happy to be settled down in Normal with her family and her pets.

We are thrilled that Dr. Adkins has joined the SmartVet team!

We are now a 4 doctor practice. When you call to make an appoint-ment for wellness care, we strongly encourage you to request a specific doctor.

We know that you or your pet may have a preference for a particular doctor and that is just fine with us!

If you need prompt care or emergency service, your pet will be seen by the doctor on duty.

Fall weather is coming – the bugs aren’t going away

Just a reminder that fleas, ticks, and mosquitos don’t disappear when the weather gets cooler. They actually try to move into your house!

We recommend year-round parasite prevention to keep your pet and your family protected.

Ask us about ProHeart. It’s a once-a-year shot that will pro-tect your dog against heart-worm disease for 12 months.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

We have completed the remodel of our hospital. Join us on Wednesday, October 23 at 4:00 pm for a fun ribbon cutting ceremony led by the Chamber of Commerce.
We would love to show you what we’ve done with the place! And how we have expanded our ability to provide excellent care for your furry family members.
Bring your smile, this event will be photographed for marketing use by the Chamber and SmartVet.
